Alexandra Byers is a classically trained pianist and Outer Banks local who began playing the piano at just three years old. With years of performance experience, she brings an elegant and romantic musical style to weddings and special events.
A graduate of Elon University, Alexandra spent four years touring across the country as a member of the Elon Music Ambassadors, performing at concerts and special events throughout the United States. She has also performed locally in acoustic duos along the Outer Banks and internationally in Florence, Italy.
Specializing in wedding ceremonies and cocktail hours, Alexandra blends timeless classical repertoire with romantic piano interpretations of modern love songs and popular favorites. Her playing creates a warm, elegant atmosphere that complements each couple’s celebration.

Whether you choose from a curated repertoire, request meaningful selections, or prefer trusted recommendations, all music is designed to complement the atmosphere of your ceremony and celebration.
If your venue has a piano available, I am happy to perform on it. Professional sound equipment can also be provided if needed, with setup details discussed in advance."

"Do you provide your own piano and sound equipment?"
Yes! I’m fully equipped for your event. I can bring my own piano, or use a venue’s piano if one is available and preferred. I also have professional sound equipment, including speakers, to make sure the music carries beautifully in your space.
"Can we customize the music, or request specific songs for our wedding?"
Absolutely! I’m always open to learning new songs if you have something special in mind. I already have a large repertoire to choose from, but I love keeping ceremony music fully customizable so it reflects exactly what you envision for your day. For cocktail hour, I’ll share a song list for you to review, and you’re welcome to request any additions or changes.
"Are you available for outdoor ceremonies and receptions?"
I love playing both indoor and outdoor weddings. For outdoor ceremonies, I just ask that there’s some form of shade or cover to protect the piano from direct sunlight. The piano does require access to power, but I can bring extension cords if needed, and my speakers are battery-powered for added flexibility.
